Such a traumatic experience in a damp hotel room with unclean sheets and expensive!
Good facilities, very friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, pity there was no evening meal.
slight incline on entry to hotel, caused slight difficulty due to health problem.
quite surprising fantastic breakfast as good as the large hotels bedrooms need updating although large screen tv and comfortable
The room was clean and the location was peaceful, although quite a long walk from the main shops.
I was given a room right next to reception which was very small with a tiny bathroom. Not worth the £75 we paid, although I believe there were nicer rooms available. The staff member who showed us to out room had told me that there was a double bed in it, which there wasn't. I thought that the breakfast time was ridiculous for a Sunday 8.00am to 9.00 and also the checkout was 10am
Room was fine for overnight stay, breakfast was fair with a reasonable choice,Location good, just outside city centre,Clean & Tidy,Staff pleasant & friendly,
As others have mentioned, shower was poor
I felt the room was not big enough but was clean and towels were changed dailly Car parking was an advantage
there was no restaruant to use for an evening meal which meant we had to go out to eat the dining room could do with a awater/waitress at breakfast as there was a long wait.as there seemed to be one person running about doing everything we were in an attic room which in my opinion is not a superior room with a view which was non exitant
Everything was great hotel was close to town buses outside the door staff were excellent and friendly and helpful and room was clean and breakfast was gorgeous!!! Really happy with it!
A surprisingly well appointed and comfortable hotel particularly for the short stay or weekend guest. Great value for money with an enjoyable breakfast included. Good jumping off point for spending time in the city centre if you are happy with having to walk 20 mins or so. A taxi to the city centre cost us £6.
The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. It is an easy walk into the city centre.
Shower was rather weak and the bathroom was overlooked by an attic window in the building opposite, with no blind.
Room was clean.Bar was open in the evening when we returned from the theatre. It was fairly central and had car parking.
Continetal breakfast was not good. The cerals were supermarket cheepest and so was the yougurt. TV was on in the dinining room very loud and no one was watching it. Fire alarm went off during breakfast as toast caught fire and we noticed that the fire exit door into the garden was locked!! The hotel automatically charged our credit card although the booking said it was just for secuirty that they needed our card no. - we would have prefered to have paid cash.
There is only one Iron in the whole hotel! One morning, the staff were unable to find it and I had to go to work without ironing my shirt. Also my room door did not close or lock properly. Breakfast was rather small. There was also no wifi internet, even though it was advertised that there was wifi internet accessible in every room! You can get better for less money.
Good solutions by hotel staff for the problems with the room
Noisy and light at night (no decent curtains)
The location. The cleanliness of the hotel.
The dogmatic attitude of the staff. The fact they make a charge of £2 for using a credit card to confirm the booking and a further £2 if you wish to pay the balance by credit or debit card
Location & hotel was very quiet
close to city center
Bed not comfortable, and one employee had an attitude
